I have taught at the Northeast Metro 916 Career and Technical Center since 1981 as a Supplemental Resource Instructor.  Previously, I was a junior high special education teacher.

My undergraduate degree is in Vocational Rehabilitation with a certification in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin Stout.  My Master's Degree is in Vocational Education/Special Needs from the University of Minnesota, which includes focus on Adult Basic Education and reading strategies.

My favorite quote is:  Behavior is for a reason. (Unknown)  Youth who learn to be self-determined, with solid entry level skills, open the doors of opportunity.  I have a repertoire of teaching strategies to support students and teachers.  Former students of mine have developed skills because of their experiences in career and technical classrooms and from the guidance of home high school personnel.

Students with special needs earn a living, earn certifications, and enroll in college courses.
