Northeast Metro Career and Technical Center prepares students for the career fields of engineering, manufacturing & technology; business, management & administration; arts, communication & information systems; human services; health service technology; and agriculture, food & natural resources by integrating academic learning with technical education.
Karner Blue Education Center is Northeast Metro 916's newest special education learning center, designed specifically to meet the needs of the students it serves. The environmental supports provided by the building design create a controlled space for students in which to learn, play, and relax.
Located in the south end of Bellaire School in White Bear Lake, the Transition Program shifts to a new identity with the start of the 2014-15 school year – Bellaire Education Center (BEC). The new name, along with changing from a single teacher classroom model (used in typical elementary schools) to a multiple teacher subject-based model (used in typical secondary schools), was part of a year-long process to create a more cohesive learning environment and a place where students could feel like they belong.
