Students and staff across the district came together to celebrate Unity Day on Oct. 19 as part of National Bullying Prevention Month. Unity Day activities aim to unite communities nationwide to educate and raise awareness about bullying prevention.
In the Alternate Learning Programs, students participated in lessons around bullying prevention and how to be a good friend. They had conversations with one another about how they can support a friend or peer who is being bullied and how they feel and what they can do when they see someone being bullied.
