Erick Lehet named Olivo Award recipient

Lehet award On Dec. 7, The National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) Board of Trustees awarded the 2016 C. Thomas Olivo Outstanding Service Award to Erick Lehet, instructional coach/technical skill assessment coordinator at the Northeast Metro 916 Career and Technical Center (CTC).
This prestigious award is one of two awards distributed each year by NOCTI to support the career and technical education (CTE) community. The purpose of the award is to recognize test coordinators, administrators, state or national policy makers, or CTE association leaders for their work in advocating an equitable assessment system which uses technical assessment data to improve instruction.
As the instructional coach/technical skill assessment coordinator, Erick is responsible for training proctors, administering assessments, interpreting student scores, and the overall leadership of the testing process for Northeast Metro 916 CTC. In addition, his area of responsibility recently expanded to include post-secondary assessments. In the 2012-13 school year, Erick received the Teacher of the Year Award at Northeast Metro 916 CTC. Erick has proven to be an outstanding CTE leader!
Ms. Mary McGuire, Instructor of Law Enforcement/Criminal Justice at Northeast Metro 916 Career and Technical Center, said, "Erick spreads positivity throughout CTE. He is a high energy person who does not shy away from any new challenge."
